ABOUT
About Us
Trauma Therapy is a specialist psychotherapy practice offering thoughtful, relational work with individuals who are seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and their emotional and relational patterns. We work with people who are seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and their patterns, particularly where anxiety, emotional disconnection, chronic stress, or relationship difficulties have become entrenched.
Our approach is grounded, paced, and clinically informed, with an emphasis on understanding how emotional and nervous system responses have adapted in context. Rather than focusing on symptom management alone, therapy here attends to the wider psychological landscape in which difficulties arise, including relational history, identity, and the capacity to feel safe within oneself and with others.
Our Approach
Our work is informed by understandings of trauma, attachment, and nervous system regulation, alongside depth-oriented psychotherapy and mind–body awareness where appropriate. We believe that psychological patterns are not issues to be diagnosed, but responses that once served a protective function. Therapy focuses on understanding these responses, increasing emotional regulation, and supporting change at a pace that feels manageable.
The emphasis is on clarity, integration, and psychological coherence, rather than quick solutions or prescriptive techniques.
Working Together
Therapy at Trauma Therapy is a collaborative process. Sessions are shaped around your needs, history, and capacity, with attention to both emotional experience and the therapeutic relationship. This work may be particularly suited to those who are seeking more than symptom-focused approaches and who wish to engage with deeper emotional and relational patterns.
